Rooms looking a little bit tired and in need of refurbishment. Bar / Restaurant opens at 18:00 and closes at 21:30 so very disappointed as we were celebrating a milestone birthday. Luckily the Canal Inn is a 10 minute walk away. Wouldn’t return to this Premier Inn. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Typical Premier Inn with a clean room, welcoming staff and convenient facilities. Enjoyed a relaxing stay here, the room met my expectations and the surroundings were quiet. Plenty of parking on-site, no additional charge but you need to register your vehicle at reception. Good value when I stayed in January 2025. I can't comment on the restaurant as I ate elsewhere, but it was conveniently located.

Rooms very outdated, the annex ones are slightly better than main building slightly. Damp in bathroom, no actual toilet roll just very small flimsy tissue from a dispenser on the wall. Stayed 4 nights, no cleaning or towel exchange, asked at reception if I could recive a clean told yes but nobody did. Had to ask for a fresh towel after day 3. Internet is also awful, paid for the "upgraded" Internet and still no better had to tether from phone. A colleagues room had a large tv in it, my room had a 15" monitor which is barely visible from the bed. Feels like a lottery on what room you end up with here!

Why do I give a budget hotel such a high rating I hear you ask? All of the reception staff were welcoming and happy to answer any questions. The room was as expected from a Premier Inn, you know what you're getting. Amazingly comfortable bed as usual. The clincher for me was the standard of the breakfast in the attached restaurant! I have been to many Whitbread properties, none have ever made a breakfast like this place. I can honestly say it was better than many 4 and 5 star properties I've stayed at. Everything was cooked to perfection, and fresh to order, I was shocked at the quality of the cooking to be honest. People of Falkirk and surrounding area, do yourselves a favour and use this place. It was a travesty that whilst I was there for 90 minutes, that I only seen another ten people enjoying breakfast. This on a Saturday morning too!

Shockingly poor welcome, non existent in fact, late shift busy chatting to night reception totally ignored us. When I pointed out politely that we were waiting to check in the night manager obviously took a sulk took best part of twenty minutes looking blankly at her screen not saying a word whilst we stood and waited! Got to room and no hot water throughout our stay or any soap in dispenser. We’ve stayed here before and it was fine for a budget overnight stay. We won’t be going back. Someone definitely needs training or should consider a job not in customer service. Brutal I know but Premier Inn were undoubtedly let down as a brand in our opinion. Only £65 but a cold shower c’mon and such a lacklustre check in.

Smelly hotel with grumpy staff, not the usual value and standard of a Premier Inn

Friendly staff, great location looks lovely in the autumn colours, no evening meals, but that turn into a plus as we found the Copper Top 5 minutes away which has great food.

Staff were lovely and friendly, and it is central to everything. Room was clean enough but was a bit run down but we were only staying for a night and using it as a base. Restaurant was closed for dinner but that didn't bother us. It was open to guests for breakfast though. Breakfast was lovely and couldn't fault it.

Usually stay at Falkirk East but it was full so we tried Central. Disappointed, place was depressing, sorely needs refurbished. Carpets weren't clean and bathroom drain was disgusting. Saving grace was the bed which was so comfy. Staff were nice too

The rooms I was in was in the old building and definitely needed tlc. The toilet kept leaking and it took forever to get the room warm. However the staff were lovely, couldn't do enough for you, and the breakfast was good

Beautiful building was part of the old whiskey distillery and right beside the canal locks

One of the poorest Premier Inns we have come across. Room was dusty, service was grumpy. Room key had to be replaced three times. Reasonable location about 2 miles from Falkirk Wheel but local eateries were very poor (except the Copper Top that was quite good and friendly too).

I stayed here at the weekend on the run up to my wedding . On arrival at reception the young lady there was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and very spacious ( we had a family room) and bonus it had air con !!. Tea / coffee facility was well stocked too. On the saturday of my wedding i cant thank the cleaning staff enough , they went above and beyond to help keep my day running smoothly again very friendly and just amazing !! On the saturday The two young ladies on reception ( you know who yous are sorry not good with names) were very friendly and again went above and beyond especially when my veil decided to go some flying lessons around the carpark 🤣 thank you so much for rescuing it i appreciate it. Again these ladies and cleaning staff went above and beyond ensuring our room was sorted after we left and made it feel special for me and my husband arriving back ( thank you for the wine 🤗) it just finished our night . Honestly i cant thank yous enough . Id definetly reccomend to stay here for any occasion so its definetly a 5 star from me 🙂 xx

Friendly staff, average breakfast and OK room Site in desperate need of a refurbishment. Restaurant was closed so had to eat out. Website needs updating to state this.

Room was lovely and spacious let down by a tiny tv. Breakfast was a huge disappointment didn't realise we had to order it rather than helping ourselves at a usual buffet. Took ages to come and was lukewarm like it been sat on a hotplate. Such a shame as we have always enjoyed these hotels

Rooms decent. Nice staff let down by one member who could really do with a customer service course. Restaurant closed. This business of offering early check in for £10 is a mess.
